Revelations was a painting that hung on my wall for about a year or so before becoming what it is now. This is the painting that really started this whole thing and stirred something in me as an artist and business major. After staring at it day by day, I started to realize it had more to say. The stillness felt like it was waiting to become something else.
Eventually the idea just clicked, the image of The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe and how it made me feel after reading it for the first time in high school. Truthfully, I couldn't recall 90% of that poem, but the painting matched its tone and energy. Anyway, that's when the t-shirt idea came to life, the design came to life, and so did my niche.
After that point, my paintings all became stories. None of them were simply paintings anymore, it was in a way a turning point in how I approached and viewed my art.
